Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I am a psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience helping
individuals, couples and families. I would love to help
you. Not your typical "listen and nod your head" kind of
therapist, my style is very warm and engaging, involved and
dynamic. You are not alone anymore, I'm here to help.
Through the process of therapy you will explore, learn, grow,
and reconnect with your true essence while learning the skills
you need to cope with your challenges and feelings . You will
rediscover your resiliency and reignite the passion in your
Awareness and self exploration will be the basis of our work
together, upon which we will build and create the kind of life you have envisioned for yourself. You have the strength to overcome whatever challenges you face, and my job is to help you learn to trust yourself and rediscover your resiliency.
I originally received my Master's degree at California State University Northridge. I later continued my post master's education in Psychotherapy at the Alfred Adler Graduate School with an additional special emphasis on Couples and Family Therapy. I am extensively trained and experienced to treat individuals as well as families, but my view is always encompassing, exploring how connections and relationships play an important role in a person's life.
During the years of my career I provided in-home therapy, at school therapy for adolescents and teens, and treated many individuals and couples in private office settings. I have experience effectively treating many mental health symptoms, trauma, and relationship challenges. I am extensively trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I don't believe one type of therapy is effective for all, so I tailor therapy to fit my client's needs and learning style.
